Micaela Nardella is a young Italian interior architect based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Her background is from Politecnico di Milano, Leeds College of Art and Design and Piet Zwart Institute Rotterdam.

The design projects specialize in exhibitions, installations and retail. The focus is on thinking of alternative uses for public spaces and temporary locations, such as pop up stores or fairs.
Every project reflects a strong aim of efficiency and affordable design. Flexibility plays a key role and it is especially achieved by alternative use of materials or by the multiple functionality of the final
work.

The design process is always based on an active research of the urban context, intents to develop positive solutions for the local communities and society.

The work range mainly centered on small and medium sized interiors, but it has lately been enriched by couple of projects with a product
design approach.

Different works has been published in international press and websites. Among the projects the urban installation ECO SIDE OF THE CITY won the workshop 1K/Euro EXHIB_DESIGN organized in Milan by FEEM in 2010. In April 2012 the project BRICK BIOTOPE was exhibited at Ventura Lambrate, Fuorisalone in Milan and in October 2012 it was part of the fair SUNLAB-for a creative outdoor- in Rimini, Italy.
